Memperbaiki Update manager Yang error pada ubuntu

apabila waktu anda mengupdate ubuntu anda dan terjadi error seperti di bawah ini :

Update Manager returns:

Could not initialize the package information

A unresolvable problem occurred
while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'W:Encountered status field in a non-version description, E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/status, E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf
sudo apt-get clean all
sudo apt-get update
